The ADT Health Ministry 2021 Theme was focus on Healthy Immune System.
We started the year in January strong even though the world was still dealing with the COVID pandemic. We were working in our element by praying for the health of the nation as well as the ADT church family.
In the month of March the focus was on the benefits of Cabbage which was the vegatable. Cabbage is rich in Vitamin C, provided Healthy Heart, prevents Cancer, and cabbage is low in calories.
April the food for the month was Eggplant. Eggplants are also rich in Vitamin C, has heart healthy properties, it also prevents Cancer and increases brain function.
Still going strong in May the food we focused on was Tomatoes. Tomatoes are heart healthy, cancer prevention and good for healthy skin.
As the summer month of June approached, Kiwi was the focus food of the month because it is a good source of Vitamin A and C as well as dietary fiber.
In July, we knew that every ones taste buds were craving Oranges, Oranges are rich in Vitamin C, have healthy immune system properties and lowers cholesterol and controls blood sugar levels.
August was the month to eat Spinach because it allowed us to contiue to add foods high in fiber, vitamin C and vitamin K and lower your blood pressure.
As September rolled in so did the need to focus on the vegatable of broccoli because it promotes eye care, regulates blood pressure, prevents heart disease and improves skin.
In October, Red Bell Peppers were selected for is Vitamin C properties, eye health, and low in carbs.
November rolled in and we were focusing on another colorful vegatable of Sweet Potato for its ability to provide Vitamin C, Vitamin A for healthy skin and regulate blood pressure.
And December closed the year out with the focus being on Carrots. Carrots are known for Vitamin A, lowers cholesterol and improves eye health.
