First Lady Lupheila Maples
Luphelia Maples was born to the parents of Mark and May Rubin Martin. She is married to the dream and love of her life, Apostle Perry Maples, Jr. who has been Pastor of the Apostolic Deliverance Temple Church of Jesus Christ for 54 years. They are the grateful parents of two children, DeWayne Maples and Paulette Douglas. They have (7) grandchildren and (4) four great-grandchildren whom they adore.
First Lady Maples is a graduate of Hamilton High School. She attended Griggs Business College, Miller Hawkins Business College, and Shelby State Community College. She is a certified Nursing Assist from Sea Isle School of Nursing, and a certified Anger Management Counselor. She holds an associate degree in Childcare and served as Director of the ADT Child Development Academy for 27 years before retirement.
As a Pastor's Wife, she has served for 40 years as Women's President of the Apostolic Deliverance Temple, International. She serves on the Women’s Board of Directors of the Alliance of Apostolic Churches of Christ Jesus. She is President of the Women's Board of Council, Missionary Licensor Instructor, and author of three books (Women Under Covering, Ushers Handbook, and a Missionary Handbook.)
Establisher: Missionary Choir, and Senior Class Sunday School Teacher (44 years). Presently, she serves as Youth Advisor and Usher Advisor. She also offers personal council for women on Sunday Mornings.
First Lady Maples is proud of her many accomplishments. and always says" I am blessed to have traveled across the United States and to many countries around the world with my husband doing the work of the Lord: Bible Education and Missions to Hawaii, Alaska, Jamica, to the Holy Land multiple times and to the seven churches of Asia Minor, Turkey. In 1994, I was blessed to travel on a mission with my husband to Ghana, West Africa where two churches were "birthed". On our 2009 Haiti mission, a church and an elementary school were started. Currently, I serve a as President of the Foreign Mission Department.
First Lady Maples is an Intercessory Prayer Warrior. She prays for people all over the world. She says, "Praying is one of the most important things we, as saints, can do. Prayer is more powerful than the atomic bomb. Prayer can move faster than a speeding bullet. Prayer can go everywhere without limits.”Her favorite books are Heirs Together by Marvelle Dees and The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren.
