The month of June is the month for Fathers to be honored and recognized for their special day entitled Father’s Day on June 16, 2024. Just like Mother’s Day Fathers, Grandfathers and Great-Grandfathers will be honored by children, wives and loved ones doing special things such as: purchasing cards that say Happy Father’s Day, other purchases of a Father’s favorite item or event, cooking breakfast, lunch and dinners for the fathers, spending time with them in various ways that they enjoy, or taking them to various restaurants and other places to treat them special and spend time with the Fathers, Grandfathers and Great Grandfathers.
There are various names that men that are fathers and grandfathers are called: Father, Dad, Pop, Pops, Pappa, Granddaddy, Granddad, Grandpapa, Grandpa, Grandfather and so many other names. Men have a great responsibility to their families to be an example first by obeying the word of God. It is God that is the head of the man to lead, guide and provide the necessary instruction to the Father to know how to lead his family (wife and children).
When the Father let God lead him then a strong family bond is developed, and a strong presence of God’s guidance is portrayed for the wife and children to see the example of how God is leading and blessing the family.
This year our church will have a special service entitled Deacon’s and Wife Service on June 2. It will be an anointed service of worshiping and praising God in the beauty of holiness.
