It is that special time of year once again. It is the month of May and Mother’s Day will be celebrated on May 12, 2024. When I googled the history of Mother’s Day, this is what I found: It was established by Anna Jarvis, with the first official Mother's Day celebrated through a service of worship at St. Andrew's Methodist Church in Grafton, West Virginia, on May 10, 1908. It is now an annual holiday celebrated on the 2nd Sunday in May recognizing mothers, motherhood, and maternal bonds.
My mother is no longer in the land of the living, it is my belief that she is in heaven with God. My questions to her would be for her to tell me what one day is like in heaven? Another question I would ask her is heaven everything that we have thought it is with the streets of gold?
I encourage all to cherish your mother and spend time with her as much as you can. Mothers are very special people because of the way God has made them to care for their children.
A true mother will always be there for her children no matter the age of the child, know that your mother loves you dearly.
