July 4, 1976The birth of the Apostolic Deliverance Temple Church of Jesus Christ. The first service held at the Lemoyne Gardens Auditorium for Sunday services. 27 members were in attendance.
1976The church moved to former daycare facility. Worshipped in this daycare facility for 4 months before returning to Lemoyne Gardens Auditorium. Weekly Choir rehearsals were held in the home of Missionary Ruth Givens. Purchased the building located at 306 S. Parkway East and began to renovate the “building of ill repute” into a “House of Prayer.”
May, 1977Renovations were completed in time for Pentecost Sunday. This facility became famous as “The Church Under the Bridge.”
